Teachers develop tool to help students collaborate |
Tirza Smits, Kim Stroet and Marit Guda (Child and Education Studies) observed frustration among students working in groups, often due to poor communication. So they decided to build a tool to help students work together more smoothly. This tool, developed with the aid of a Grassroots grant, gives students a chance to talk openly about their skills and make them visible to the group. In this way, everyone can contribute during group work in a way that suits them.

Mieneke van der Salm transfers from SOLO to Education policy |
After two wonderful years as an education advisor at SOLO, I made a full transfer to the fourth floor at the beginning of this month and started working as an education policy officer. In my new role, I support the Permanent Committee on Education (the consultation between the Vice Dean of Education and the program directors) and deal with quality assurance, educational innovation, and teacher professionalization, among other things. In addition, I have also been the BKO Secretary FSW since October. In this role, I am the first point of contact for all BKO-related questions. Would you like to know more about what I do exactly? Just drop by on the fourth for a cup of coffee. I am at FSW from Tuesday to Thursday.
